Summer Success Camp

Through our Summer Success Academy, The Biome will offer students at every academic performance level the opportunity to recover from learning loss or advance their academic skills. This summer, The Biome will offer two programs to meet the needs of our students.

Registration opens on April 28, 2021, and CLOSES on May 12, 2021. We can provide no exceptions. Before and Aftercare services are NOT available for the summer.

Program I

In-Person Summer Learning In Partnership with Launch

*Launch is a purpose-driven virtual course access program designed to serve Missouri students.

Program Overview

This option is great for students needing to improve academic performance in the areas of literacy and math.

Program Duration: June 7, 2021, through June 30, 2021
Weekly Sessions: Monday – Friday
Arrival and Departure Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

In-person Literacy and Math (class sizes of no more than ten (10) students)

  • Open to all students
  • Complete our Parent/Learner School Covenant

Program Description

In this program, learners will:

  • Focus on English Language Arts, Mathematics
  • Build the right skills for his or her grade in school
  • Participate in engaging class activities and discussions
  • Get the individual support he or she needs

Program Features

  • 6 hours daily teacher-supported programming
  • One-on-one and small group support
  • ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies standards
  • Related arts and physical activity content
  • Virtual field trips and digital badging 
  • SPED Services
  • Speech Language and Occupational Therapy

Program II

Virtual Summer Learning in Partnership with the Institute of Reading Development**

**The Institute of Reading Developments’ mission is to teach kids the skills they need to have positive, meaningful experiences with great books at every stage of their reading development.

Program Overview

These live online programs help learners grow into stronger students who love reading. Incoming kindergarteners ARE eligible.

Program Duration: June – July, Eight (8) weeks total
Weekly Sessions: Flexible weekly sessions – Your schedule is created during enrollment

  • Participants must be at or above grade level in reading
  • Have an attendance rate of at least 90%
  • Agree to our Parent/Learner School Covenant

In this program, learners will:

  • Focus on fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and so much more
  • Build stronger literacy skills
  • Participate in engaging class activities and discussions

Program Features

  • Eight (8) weekly small-group classes led by an exceptional teacher
  • Engaging, interactive lessons
  • Individual attention and support
  • Books shipped directly to the learner’s home
  • End of program progress report
  • Meetings with teachers to discuss progress and goals
  • Scheduling Flexibility
